Birthday Cupcakes
Today is my sissy's birthday! Happy Birthday sissy! So I have decided to place more on my plate and make her homemade cupcakes!. I happen to <3 cupcakes, one might say I have a slight addiction to them even. I love them so much my last gallbladder attack was caused by Red Velvet cupcakes a co - worker made :). Any ways getting back to my sister's birthday. For Christmas I received a cupcake cookbook, and it has given me inspiration (HALLELUJAH)! I have decided to make her Banana Chocolate Dream cupcakes. So far this morning I have made the pastry cream for the filling, and gotten all the ingredients together. I have not completed it yet, and I hope they turn out good. I told everyone that if it doesn't I'll get a cake. SO either way she will have something. I have not completed them yet; I am waiting for the butter to get to room temperature. I did get all my ingredients together though so it should not take me to long. I will let you know how they turn out.Wish me luck!

Well, good luck my little cupcake addict! You could always send some up this way if you ever have too many. My pain meds (from a bad motorcycle accident) give me the sweets munchies a lot. But so far I only weigh 200lbs, not too bad for 6'4". No, no illegal munchies here! I found you as a follower on my blog so I thought I would stop by and say Hi! I would also invite you to post to my blog anytime. I posted some pics to Lauren's DB blog page (I couldn't get them to her blog) of my critter neighbors and sometimes muses. After Netha's back trouble she hasn't posted to this unit so I posted pics of my daughter we think looks an awful lot lke her to chap. 3 blog DB. You are more than welcome to have a look and chime in with your opinion. I live in Decorah, Ia where we have lots of natural limestone bluffs (mini-mountains), caves, 4 year round waterfalls (which my pic is taken in front of the smallest one, you can see it better on my profile), and our backyard is one of those mini-mountains I told you about. The deer in the pics I sent to lauren are about 20 ft. away and are standing on a steep slope. That is my backyard! I can be high energy when I need to be and laid back when I have to be (pain tends to do that to a body). I love kicking back with friends, but I don't have too many here yet (I was flooded out of Cedar Rapids and homeless for a little bit, even my job got flooded away). So now I'm in a really small community that accepts new people like the plague, vacationers and Luther College Students are more than welcome, but an outsider is really an outsider! So new friends are really important to me and I care for them like gold. I look forward to talking to you a lot more and getting to know you better in class and out of class.

I really need to apologize to you! My wife informed me that a few of the statements I made to you could be taken as flirting! I sincerely apologize as that would be very unprofessional. I simply meant that I'm a sweets junkie too. Also if we were to team up as our professor has suggested, I wouldn't mind you being part of the team. I am a very open person and if I were flirting with you, you would certainly have no doubts about it. You blinded me with your cupcake recipe, it attacked my "sweet foods craving center." I most certainly did not mean to offend you in any way!
ReplyDeleteSincerely,
Mark
Hi Mark,
ReplyDeleteNo worries, you did not offend me. My family says I need a support group for my addiction to cupcakes LOL. I will have to look more at your blog, I just placed everything into the Google reader thing so I can look at them that way. The blog thing is still new to me. I have gotten used to and adjusted to Facebook, now i need to adjust to this. I forget to check it everyday. Like right now I'm at work XD, writing to you.
That is cool about where you live. I grew up in a smaller area in Southern MD, and then moved to Orlando 4 years ago. It was a big change to me. I find I miss my hometown very much. I will post some pictures as well. I cannot figure out how to post them as a slide show though. So if you have any tips, I can use as many as you got.
I would not mind teaming up with you. I can use a lot of help focusing on my paper as well. It seems you are very focused on yours from what you have written on the DB.
Talk at ya soon
Maggie
